Sacramento Fire has asked CERT to participate in Fire Ops 101 hosted by the California Professional Firefighters/IAFF. This event is designed to allow Senate and Assembly members to experience aspects of what it's like to be a firefighter in California.
Sacramento CERT is being asked to set up and man a Firefighter Rehab station at the event. We will deploy the CCR trailer in Rehab mode, and walk legislators and visitors through the steps of the rehab process:
- Doffing turnouts
- Gross deconamination
- Tagging in/Vitals
- Initial rehab
- Advanced rehab
- Tagging out/Donning turnouts
We will need 4-5 members to set up the Rehab area, escort legislators through the process during the day, and to break down the Rehab area.
This will be a uniformed event. Red CERT t-shirt/polo, black BDU pants, safety toe boots, and CERT hat.
The only parking is street parking or garages...the closest garage is off of 10th just North of L.
If you have any questions, please let us know.
