This class is a supplement to the CERT and Sacramento Fire Department official curriculum and is not required for any CERT FEMA PTB position. The instructor is using material from a number of mixed military and civilian sources.
The instruction is intended to provide attendees with knowledge and tools that will enable them to more effectively operate as part of the Sacramento CERT ICS leadership team, whether at a planned event or a disaster incident deployment.
This will be a fast-paced class culminating in one or more challenging practical exercises where you will fulfill a CERT ICS Command Staff position and it's required responsibilities.
This training will provide the opportunity for you to gain more knowledge and skills necessary for assisting the CERT Command Staff in Operations, Plans, Logistics, and Safety Officer.
Incident Management Team (IMT) and the Incident Action Plan (IAP) will cover:
